Douglas Adams, MD, is a board-certified, orthopedic surgeon with specialization in hip arthroscopy and hip preservation surgery, sports medicine, arthroscopic surgery, and muscle sparing surgical techniques. A veteran of the United States Armed Forces, Dr. Adams has extensive experience in all forms of orthopedic care, providing both non-surgical treatment options as well as the most advanced surgical techniques to get patients back to their active lives.

More about Dr. Adams
Dr. Adams enjoyed a successful 16-year military career in the Air Force and Army, receiving an honorable discharge as Lieutenant Colonel. During his time with the Armed Forces, he held the position of chief of orthopaedic surgery at Fort Stewart, GA; Baghdad, Iraq; and Fort Carson, CO. He completed two combat deployments in Afghanistan and Iraq and provided humanitarian orthopedic care through SIGN Fracture Care International.
Dr. Adams patients appreciate his expertise in diagnosing and treating a variety of conditions including hip impingement, hip labral tears, hip dysplasia, hip arthritis, avascular necrosis, tears of the gluteus medius and minimus, hamstring tears, ligament injuries of the knee, cartilage injuries, shoulder instability, rotator cuff tears, shoulder impingement, AC joint injuries, fractures, and tendon/ligament ruptures. If non-operative treatments are unsuccessful and surgery is the best option, Dr. Adams is dedicated to utilizing the best resources and applying the most advanced surgical techniques in a cost-conscious manner.
When not working with patients, Dr. Adams enjoys spending time with his lovely wife and their four children, fly fishing with his dog, exploring the outdoors, and tending the grill on a beautiful Colorado day.
